Smoked BBQ Chicken

Ingredients:
1 small chicken
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
Salt and pepper
2 tbsp canola oil
1/2 stick of butter
1/4 cup of honey
2 tbsp brown sugar
Instructions:
Preheat smoker to 300 degrees fahrenheit.
Under cold water, clean the chicken with salt and pat dry.
Place the bird in a pan and cover all sides with the oil.
Place the bird skin side down and season with garlic powder, onion powder, Guard Dawg’s Chile Pepper and Ancho Chile-Mango Spice rubs, salt and pepper. Flip the bird and repeat the seasoning process.
Place the chicken on the smoker skin side up for approximately 2 hours.
Remove the chicken from the smoker, and top with honey, brown sugar and butter cut into small slices.
Cover pan with tin foil, and place back in the oven for another 30 minutes or until the chicken has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit internal.
Remove from the smoker and rest for at least 15-20 minutes before slicing.
Serve when cooled, and enjoy!
