Ingredients:
1 pack chicken drumsticks, butterflied (about 16 total)
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tbsp onion powder
2 tbsp canola oil
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp paprika
Hot honey drizzle at the end (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375 Degrees Fahrenheit.
Under cold water, clean the chicken drumsticks with salt and pat dry.
To butterfly the chicken drumsticks, cut from the top of leg to the base of the bone, splitting in half.
Once all drumsticks are butterflied, season with garlic powder, onion powder, Guard Dawg’s Chile Pepper and Ancho Chile-Mango Spice rubs, and canola oil. Mix well, and place the chicken skin side down in a decent sized baking dish (big enough to hold all of the chicken with room).
Place the chicken in the oven and bake for approximately 1 hour.
Remove the chicken from the oven, and flip the chicken over to have the skin side up.
Top with brown sugar, and place back in the oven for another hour or until the chicken has reached 165 degrees Fahrenheit internal.
Remove from the oven and drizzle with the hot honey for an added kick and sweetness.
Serve when cooled, and enjoy!
